Dr. Yuen is currently the Director of Minimally Invasive Gynaecology at Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital in Hong Kong. He is also the Honorary Consultant of the hospital and Honorary Clinical Associate Professor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and University of Hong Kong. He was the Consultant and Head of Gynaecological Endoscopy in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Prince of Wales Hospital from 1996 to 2007. Dr. Yuen pioneered the work on gynaecological endoscopic surgery in Hong Kong and is an internationally renowned expert in this area. He was appointed as honorary professors and consultants in 9 hospitals in China and served as editors and reviewers in various international and national journals. He received the Endoscopic Award from China in 2005 and Endos Award in Medical Science and Technology in 2009. Dr. Yuen founded the Asia Pacific Gynaecological Endoscopy Training Group (APGET) in 2016 and serves as Chairman to provide training and education in endoscopic surgery in Asia Pacific region. He was also the founding member and past president of the Hong Kong Gynaecological Endoscopy Society and the Asia Pacific Association for Gynecologic Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Therapy (APAGE), broad member of the International Society for Gynecological Endoscopy (ISGE) and international advisor of the American Association for Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL). He had published about 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to 6 books in gynaecological endoscopy.
Dr. Hada is the director of Gynecology of Women's Center at Yotsuya Medical Cube in Tokyo, Japan. He was given awards of the Honorable Mention Video-Gynecology at the 7th SLS annual meeting in 2008, the Best Video Award at the 49 th JSGOE annual meeting, Outstanding Video Presentation at AGES 25th annual meeting in conjunction with the ISGE 24th Annual Congress in 2015, and Best Video Award in the APAGE 17th Annual Congress in 2016. After finished his high school in England, Dr. Chan got a scholarship to Manchester University Medical School to commence his medical studies and graduated with Bachelor Degree of Medicine and Surgery (M.B.Ch.B). He continued his specialty training of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Manchester and gained membership to The Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists of England (M.R.C.O.G.). Dr. Chan has since been admitted to be a fellow of The Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists of England (F.R.C.O.G.). He is also a fellow of The Hong Kong College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (F.H.K.C.O.G.) and a fellow of The Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (F.H.K.A.M).
Dr. Chan is actively involved in the activities of The Hong Kong College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists and in teaching at the universities. His major interest is in Minimal Invasive Surgery (MIS). He is one of the pioneers in this field in Hong Kong. He frequently involves in the teaching and demonstration of the skills of MIS. He performed the first Single Port Hysterectomy in Hong Kong years ago.
Professor Bernard Chern is the Chairman of Division of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital. He is also the Head and Senior Consultant of the Minimally Invasive Surgery Unit of the hospital.
Porfessor Chern is an active participant in the international circle of MIS Societies and has been an invited speaker at numerous scientific conferences. He has also attended numerous international scientific conferences including the AAGL, APAGE, AGES, ISGE, ESGE etc over the years.
In addition, he has extensively published articles in peer-reviewed local and international journals. He has been a regular invited speaker and surgical skill instructor at the various regional Asia-Pacific conferences/workshops.
Dr. S. Selva is a Consultant in Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and a subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine at Mahkota Medical Centrein Melaka, Malaysia. He heads the O&G unit and the IVF Centre at the hospital. He trained in laparoscopic surgery under Prof Soong KY and Dr. Lee Chyi Long at the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in 1994. He received training in Assisted Reproductive Technique at the King’s College in London in 1997. He started the Mahkota IVF Centre in 1997 and has been performing IVF for the last 19 years.
Dr. S. Selva currently chairs the endoscopic subcommittee and is involved in promoting gynaecological endoscopic surgery in Malaysia. He is also a board member of the International Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy and a reviewer of the journal of the Asia Pacific Association Of Gynaecological Endoscopy.
Dr. Sun is the Medical Deputy Superintendent and Director of the Center of Gynaecologic Minimal Invasive Surgery at Lucina Women and Children Hospital in Kaohsiung City in Taiwan. He is also the director of Taiwan Association of Minimal Invasive Gynaecologic Surgery (TAMIG).
Dr. Sun earned his medical degree from National Taiwan University and completed his internship and residency at Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital in Taiwan. He gained his fellowship at New York University Hospital, with special interest in advanced gynaecologic Endoscopic Surgery. He has been an invited speaker at numerous scientific conferences
Dr. Amphan is Associate Professor and consultant of Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Siriraj Hospital and Mahidol University in Thailand. He is also the current President of Thai Society of Gynecologic Endoscopists and Director of The Thai-German Multidisciplinary Endoscpic training center in Bangkok
Dr. Amphan finished his medical degree and residency training at Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok. He completed his fellowships in Gynecologic Endoscopy at Rosenhoehe-Bielefeld Hospital in Germany.
He has over twenty years’ experience in Gynecologic laparoscopic surgery, with special interest in Gynecologic Endoscopy Colposcopy and Female sexually transmitted disease HIV infection. He has actively involved in training workshops both nationally and internationally.
Dr. Tae Joong Kim is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Samsung Medical Center (SMC) and Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, South Korea. Dr. Kim earned his medical degree from Seoul National University in 1997 and completed an internship and an Obstetrics and Gynaecology residency at SMC in 2002. After three years of mandatory military service, he completed a gynecologic oncology fellowship at SMC where he currently practices. He is the first gynecologist to start doing single-port laparoscopy, NOTES, and single-site da Vinci surgery in Korea. His expertise has been globally recognized. He has been invited by different countries to perform live surgeries and promote minimally invasive surgery (MIS). He has authored or co-authored over 180 peer-reviewed manuscripts in the field of gynecologic oncology as well as MIS.
Dr. Danny Chou graduated from the University of New South Wales Medical School and attained his specialist qualifications from both Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (UK) and Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He then completed his first MIS Fellowship of 2 years at Sydney Women’s Endosurgery followed by a second MIS Fellowship of 1 year with oncology exposure at Whipps Cross Hospital in London with Mr Lindsay McMillan.
He is Director of Sydney Women’s Endosurgery Centre and a lecturer with University of New South of Wales. Sydney Women’s Endosurgery Centre has been running the longest Gynaecological Laparoscopic workshop in Australia, over the last 20 years.
Dr. Chou has published widely including book chapters. He has lectured and been involved in training workshops both nationally and internationally.
His interests include difficult hysterectomy and myomectomy, severe endometriosis and complex prolapse surgery. He started performing robotic surgery in 2012 and is a proctor for da Vinci Robotic Surgery.
He also has very keen interest in the field of Neuropelveology.
