The inter-specialty training workshop is designed to help OT nurses acquire specialist knowledge and skills in urological & gynecological operations. It is delivered in two sessions: the AM session is a live webinar; the PM session is hands-on practice on laparoscopy. It will cover the key areas of laparoscopic urological and gynecological surgery, including Electrosurgery, Nursing management of patients with urological/gynecological complications, OR Setting, instrumentation etc.

The two-day intensive and comprehensive training course will be conducted at Olympus T-TEC in Bangkok. The training course is geared towards helping gynecologic surgeons familiar with the basic and advanced laparoscopic suturing techniques, ligation in advanced laparoscopic surgery, performing contained morcellation and the safe use of energy devices.
Day-one training comprises didactic lectures and hands-on skill training. Day-two training will be animal dissection workshop. Trainees will be given the chance to perform bladder repair, contained morcellation, needle maneuver exercise and lap cutting exercise during the hands-on skill training and animal dissection workshop.

The webinar is part of the sections of the APGET-TGMET Gynecological Endoscopy Training Course. The one-day training course will be conducted at Olympus KTEC in Incheon, South Korea. The purpose of the training course is to help trainees to acquire knowledge of instrumentation and applicability, to understand the advantages and difficulties of laparoscopic suturing, to master fundamental and advanced techniques, to acquire practical and theoretical skills related to laparoscopic suturing, and to learn tips and tricks to enhance the suturing process and make it more efficient.
The training will be divided into two session: morning session will be didactic lectures; the afternoon session will be an animal dissection workshop. During the animal dissection workshop, trainees will be also given the chance to practice different skills on laparoscopic suturing, perform bilateral ureter identification and dissection, colon repair, bladder repair, and radical nephrectomy.
